SAFERSOX Contemporary Dance Socks – Crew
SAFERSOX dance socks have been specially developed to meet the high demands of modern dancers. In close co-operation with experts from the dance industry, costume designers and professional dancers, socks were created that perfectly combine comfort, support and style.
The high-quality material mix of cotton, nylon and elastane ensures a perfect fit and prevents slipping - even during intensive dance movements. The reinforced sole offers optimum cushioning to gently cushion steps and jumps, while the easy-glide surface supports flowing movements.
Available in different skin tones and without a visible logo, the socks blend discreetly into any stage performance. Recommended by renowned dancers such as Chloé Albaret and the ensemble of the Salzburg National Theatre, SAFERSOX dance socks set new standards in terms of function and design - the ideal choice for all dancers who want to concentrate on their performance.
Our Colours - Suitable for Every Skin Type
SAFERSOX dance socks are available in four natural skin tones for a subtle stage presence:
Peach for very fair skin, Almond for Central European skin types, Cinnamon as a slightly darker tone for Southern European skin and Cacao for deeper skin tones.

Perfect Fit
The specially coordinated material mix of cotton, nylon and elastane ensures that the sock always sits securely on the foot. Whether it's fast turns, jumps or movements close to the floor - SAFERSOX dance socks offer stability and flexibility in perfect harmony. Cotton provides a soft, comfortable feel, while nylon increases durability and elastane guarantees the necessary support and fit. This combination ensures that the socks neither slip off the foot nor have a restrictive effect.
Balanced Gliding
When dancing, it is crucial that the socks neither slip too much nor stick too much to the floor. Our dance socks glide smoothly over the floor and enable fluid movement without the dancer losing control. This characteristic makes them particularly suitable for demanding movement sequences and quick changes of direction in contemporary dance and other modern dance styles.
Optimum Cushioning
An outstanding feature of our dance socks is the reinforced sole. It offers just the right amount of cushioning to absorb movements and jumps without losing the feeling for the floor. Especially in modern dance, where movement flows must be seamless and dynamic, a well-cushioned sole is crucial. Dancers can concentrate fully on their movements without having to worry about unpleasant bumps or the risk of injury.
Comfort Even During Long Performances
It is important for dancers to feel comfortable in their shoes or socks, especially during long training sessions or intensive performances. Our dance socks are not only functional, but also comfortable. The soft feel of the material gently moulds to the skin and prevents uncomfortable sweating or a constricting feeling. Dancers experience a feeling of lightness and comfort that helps them to concentrate fully on their performance.
Pure Understatement
Aesthetics are essential for professional dancers and choreographers. The SAFERSOX dance socks are available in four skin tones to blend in harmoniously with the stage design. They are also deliberately designed without a logo so as not to detract from the overall visual image and to focus entirely on the performance.
Recommended by Professionals
Our dance socks are recommended by renowned dancers such as Chloé Albaret and the ensemble of the Salzburg National Theatre. Their positive feedback confirms that with SAFERSOX dance socks we have created a product that meets the high demands of the professional dance world. Dancers from all over the world particularly appreciate the comfort, cushioning and unobtrusive design of our socks.
Made in Europe – For Dancers From All Over the World
Our dance socks embody the international spirit and diversity that is also alive in most dance ensembles. Experts from Germany, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Portugal and Cyprus have combined their expertise to create a product that inspires dancers worldwide. Manufactured in Portugal by our long-standing partner Comfysocks, the socks stand for European craftsmanship, short transport routes and a conscious decision in favour of proximity. Just as dance ensembles are enriched by their cultural diversity, every fibre of these socks is an expression of international collaboration and a passion for quality and sustainability.
Available in Two Popular Heights
Our dance socks are available in two versions - both in the classic crew length and in ancle height. This gives dancers the choice to select the sock height that suits their individual preferences and movement needs. Some prefer ankle socks for a light and free feeling on the leg, while others feel more comfortable with crew socks. No matter which height you choose, both variants are equipped with the same high-quality features and offer optimum comfort and support for every performance.
MERDE!
As a special detail, each SAFERSOX dance sock has the phrase ‘MERDE!’ embroidered on the inside - a traditional lucky charm that dancers wish each other before a performance.
The tradition goes back to a time when visitors came to the theatre in horse-drawn carriages: The more ‘Merde’ (horse manure) collected in front of the entrance, the better attended the performance was. This small, humorous detail adds a touch of dance history to every performance and reminds dancers to take the stage with confidence and joy.
